Zucchinis are Called Courgettes Here and That Upsets Me

This week nothing too out of the ordinary happened. We just worked hard and tried our best. Our Wednesday was packed, and it felt like we were running all over the place! Part of Wednesday that I felt went quite well is that we saw Justin, and another lady we see often in the park, Vivianne. Vivianne has told us that she isn't interested in learning about the gospel, but we're still very friendly with her and chat with her when we see her. Justin is doing a bit better on the faith side of things! I'd felt prompted to share a video with him about a week ago, and he really liked it! It had a greater example of faith in it, and I think he was able to learn a bit more about faith. The only problem is, is that he still wants some big sign from God. He said it must've been easy for the man in the video to believe in God since he'd had a huge sign. He said if he had something like that he'd feel like he had no other choice but to believe. I just wanted to go, "Justin! God is giving you a choice though! How great is that? He wants you to learn for yourself, you don't need a huge, miraculous sign!" At least I feel like he's beginning to be a bit more open minded about it.

I loved Zone Conference!! So fun getting to come and learn. Getting to recognize that we really have been holding ourselves back by just focusing on two methods of finding, is just a game changer. Makes me feel silly for being so close minded and not thinking outside the box. I guess that's what happens when you're "going through the motions". It's exactly what I needed to have a refocus on, and I'm so excited to see the blessings that come from taking a chance and trying something new. Also, I loved all the piano playing I got to do, haha! Playing Jerusalem for people to sing to is a lot more fun than playing it for just myself to sing too. There is power in numbers!

Saturday we got to have a booth at an interfaith, multicultural activity. So fun!! I met do many different people all from different Faith's, and I was able to share more about the importance of Families. Our little booth was on temples and family history, so that was a bit different! The line I heard the most was, "Yeah your church has the biggest database in the whole world!" That and, "So what's up with your church trying to find everyone?" Haha, it was interesting. I feel like it was mainly so good for us to work with the other people from the other religions and build up those relationships. I loved that even though we were different, we were able to all get along and respect each other. Oh, and get this, there was a booth on "Christianity" with a list of different groups who are Christian's, and we were on there! Finally haha, and it we weren't on there as 'Mormons', the full name of the church was there! Felt nice to see "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" all typed out.

Sunday we had no friends at church. Rebecca was unable to come, and despite our efforts with our other friends, they were also no-shows. At least there is always next week!

Lots of love from England!
